Southern muesli

Muesli is a dish found on European breakfast buffets, particularly in Austria, Germany and the Scandinavian countries.  It is typically served at room temperature.  When made with cream, it is luscious, but insanely high fat and calories.  This version that borrows flavors from the South is equally delicious, but very, very good for you as well.  It will stick with you all morning.

Follow this link for the recipe:
Peaches ‘n Pecan Muesli
• ¾ cup rolled or quick oats
• 1 cup milk
• 1 cup low fat or non fat peach yogurt
• 3 T sugar (optional)
• pinch of salt
• 1 tsp vanilla
• ½ cup chopped pecans
• 2 peaches, chopped

Night before:
Mix all but peaches, cover, leave on counter overnight

Next morning:
Stir in peaches, serve.

NOTES:
• You can add a half cup of wheat germ for more nutrition
