Ham and Cheese Tart

Crisp and delicious, and oh so easy!

Follow this link to the recipe:

Ham and Cheese Tart

  • One sheet Pepperidge Farm puff pastry; Trader Joes also sells one in December
  • 2T melted butter
  • 1T dijon mustard
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup small dice ham

Night before:
Thaw puff pastry sheet (do not do this in the microwave).  Roll out to 12" by 18"  and place on a cookie sheet.  Mix melted butter and mustard, and spread on the pastry, leaving one inch border.  Distribute ham and cheese on pastry. Fold up each side, and crimp at the edge to hold it up.  Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.

Set oven to come on in the morning at 400˚.

Next morning:
Take cookie sheet out of the refrigerator, remove plastic wrap, and put in the oven.  Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.  Remove from oven, cut into servings, and eat!

NOTES:
Chopped tomatoes or avocados would be great on this after it is out of the oven
