Tomato ham cheese toast

This is a hearty, slightly spicy open face sandwich that is very quick to make.

Follow this link for the recipe:
Tomato ham cheese toast

• 4 slices hearty wheat bread (I get sourdough whole wheat from a nearby baker and it is marvelous.  If you are in Southern California, check out http://www.charliesbestbread.com/index.html )
• 1 can Underwood deviled ham, 2.25 oz
• 1 medium tomato
• 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (about 4 ournces total)

Night before:
Assemble if you wish, but easy enough to do in the morning

Next morning:
Spread each piece of bread with ¼ of the ham. Put one tomato slice on each. Sprinkle ¼ cup cheese on each. Toast in a toaster over, or put on a cookie sheet in a 500° oven for 5 minutes. Serve hot.

NOTES:
• Use chicken spread with a few chives mixed in for a lower fat alternative
